One of the restaurants among the Puresouth restaurant chain.  The service is mainly self-service in nature hence we need to bill the dishes in advance. It causes the inconvenience of having an added dish while eating. I have experienced the same since first I billed for a masala dosa, Medu vadai and a coffee and later I decided to taste their onion oothappam too. For the oothappam, I had to go to the wash room to wash my hands and went for billing. Apart from the advance billing, rest of the factors were very much convincing and I could feel the quality of raw materials and oil they are using. Hats off to puresouth for it.   All dishes had a Tamil flavour but most of the south Indian vegetarian dishes are authentically tamil, hence that was justifiable. Among the dishes I had, special mention should go to the medu vada (Uzundu Vada) since it met all the traditional taste concepts. The water they served by default was boiled municipal water and the very colour of it wasn’t appealing, hence i didn’t take the risk of having it, instead I went for bottled water. The menu includes variety of dosas, fresh idly, tali meals, a few veg snacks, upma and a few other typical Tamil dishes. The restaurant is in ground floor and fully Air Conditioned. We get a view to the Calicut NH bypass through the glass panes. The restaurant may not be an ideal place for party or social gathering but it is a reliable, hygienic and safe destination for the travellers to fill their tummy.
